Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Program
This year the students of Bond County Community Unit #2 are being introduced to the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. This program, enforced by the Federal Government, has established a list of Guidelines to be followed. These guidelines include:
calories and sodium minimums and maximums for all meals
a larger selection of fruits and vegetables
the use of whole grains
require that all milk be 1% or nonfat.
